Yup, my end of the bargain after receiving one myself. Well, actually I may have gotten away with two so I'm really obliged to do this |D

So you guys probably know the deal, I'll do a free character sketch for 10 of you guys and all that, but also you have to do this in return...well, I wanna twist that rule around a bit.

If you've already done this 10 sketch thing in the past (even the distant past) or are currently in the process of doing it, you're applicable for a free sketch!

Since school's got me on a tight schedule, I'm only on DA on the weekends and it's the only time I have to actually work on stuff outside of school. So I can take participants now and maybe get a few of them done, and maybe the rest you can expect next week. I'm not sure :/ I'll keep this open for as long as it takes for the 10 slots to fill up, and maybe I might start excepting people without forcing them do this 10 sketch chain.

I'll put a modest amount of work for the sketches, meaning clean pencil work, or at least as close as I can get to that xD I'm on the verge of another art block so this is a way for me to keep things fresh!

Yup! x3 I'm officially 19 now. Getting older just isn't as fun as it used to be, I mean back then it was like; "Wow! 16! I can get my driver's license!" 8D Nowadays it's just "meh".

Hey guys! Man, it's been too long since I've logged into here...sorry guys D: the good news is school's out and now I got 4 months of relaxation and drawing (my own stuff) ahead Finals had me occupied for the last few weeks so that should explain my lack of activity lately

I sorta feel bad when I do this, and usually it happens 2-3 times a year; I sacrifice not only my time with you guys on here but also my time to draw in order to get other important things out of the way, mostly school work. I suppose it's a necessary sacrifice cuz I always finish on a good note the bad thing is that by the time I come back here I have a lot of things to catch up on but I'll get through the best I can.

The worst thing is that this sort of thing usually leaves me in an art block >< When I stop drawing for too long, I feel less inspired and it's kind of like a snowball effect where I just don't feel like drawing and then the harder it is for me to get that 'momentum' back.

I realize now that as long as I just get that pencil on paper and just draw, it just comes back! So I'm back to drawing my own stuff, I've recently got inspired to start drawing my original characters again, like Pete. It's been too long since I've drawn him and there's a lot of changes I wanna make 8P

Oh! And of course I haven't forgotten the remaining art trades and other stuff for people I have to get out of the way. I'll get to work on those soon now that I have free time.

Also I just wanna thank the new people that are commenting on my work and watching me. Again sorry I haven't gotten to your messages and stuff but just wanted to say hi and thanks

Alright so right now I'm in the process of writing two essays on the issue of "technology vs. real life encounters". I normally don't get drawn into these kind of subjects but after reading the articles about them it just leaves me wondering about other people's thought on the matter.

Our generation has had access to technological means of communication such as instant messengers, online social networks (facebook, myspace, etc...) and of course cell phones and texting for quite some time. Has it taken over our lives and does it really hinder our ability to socialize face to face?

Other issues include: Have we taken cybernetic socializing so seriously that being "un-friended" on facebook is the biggest blow of hatred someone can do to a person? Those who are normally timid in nature now have the ability to rant and rave their "power" in the online world?

[link] - This is the one that talks about how online social networking such as facebook has taken over our lives and that anything we do online is taken at such a ridiculously critical level. It also makes a good point about online "privacy".

[link] - This is the article I agree with the most. This is the pro-technology xD Pretty much it's cool how cell phones and the internet can help bridge the geographic distance between friends. Why should we be limited by geography if you have friends and family in different parts of the world? Also technology isn't to be blamed for socially awkward people; people who are awkward are just awkward :/

My Opinion

Honestly, I think that online social networking and texting on cellphones is alright xD I mean I do both all the time but I don't really think it stops me from hanging out with real life friends or hampers my ability to talk one on one with someone, because in my case it is my friends I'm texting and hanging out with xD I'm pulling a lot from the second article because she just made some really good points! Okay so if someone's rude or awkward, that's probably because they're just simply rude or awkward not because they spend a lot of time chatting or whatever. And I have to agree with the fact that it's not like I'm texting to complete strangers! The only people I text are friends and family not strangers. I still believe that it's not so bad to get out there and meet new people, that's something you can do both online and off.

I also agree with stuff from the first article as well. I think it's kind of stupid how some people take online stuff so seriously. I won't go into detail but the first article covers it. I have a facebook but I can't disagree with how potentially dangerous it is with virtually the entire facebook network having the ability to track your every move.

But yeah that's just my opinion in a nutshell. I'd go into more detail but I'm using that for my essays xD;
